"Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a persistent one," –Albert Einstein.
Our egos focus on the narrative and the role that we inhabit to explain our reality. But when we give in to the story, we fall into a kind of dream-state, one day blending into the next, and move through life as if we are in a dream.
Illusion is a photographic series that questions our state of reality. Triggered by a sense of instability during the lockdown; these hazy, off-kilter images translate a strange combination of serenity and restlessness.
Perhaps now is an opportunity to stop in this time of nothingness and to take note of our mental health. Can we recharge and reflect? Perhaps this conscious reflection on how we feel will encourage us to be more mindful of our emotions and prepare us for the next unforeseen event.
I hope that you will find inner peace and truth in your existence and reality when your mind is free of illusions.
